Hey Ian,

What does the value of 2 indicate and what does the value of 1 indicate?

Like you probably guessed and as the popup window states it should mean that your (host) object is successfully deployed on two UTMs. And the value "1" at the "X" indicates that there was an error while deploying to another UTM. 

If I look at the end point protection object it shows the green tick with 3 besides it.
I have end point protection enabled on this UTM, but not deployed from it. 

Here the green tick indicate again that the end point protection object was successfully deployed three times.

What you reported might be an issue. But I'm afraid I can't reproduce it. Could you please support more information so that we can figure out what is going on?

How did you install the SUM beta? Did you install it fresh or did you uprgade (from which version)? Did you restored a backup?
Did you already have multiple UTMs connected to your SUM? Is there really no other UTM shown in the GatewayManager in "Management > Registration"? What version has the connected UTM? Could you also please re-import your objects and see if the deploy and error counter is still wrong.

Hi Sebastian,
SUM installed from beta iso.
Configuration restored from previous SUM.

I have 3 UTMs, 1 using up2date processes and the other two from reasonably late versions of 9.2b/ga and various up2date packages.

The UTM that the config was imported from does not show any deployed end point protection services even though they are enabled.

I will provide the extra details and action result requests tomorrow night.

Hi Sebastian,
the SUM has 3 UTMs registered against it.
I imported some configuration information from 1 UTM only, built using 9.2b ISO, up2dates and restored configuration.

The AP10 has been re-imported and still has the same numbers displayed.

I am going to add this issue to this thread because I started it with questions about numbers but this post also applies to another thread.

I have checked all 3 UTMs that are managed by my SUM and all 3 show the Endpoint Protection as a being managed by the SUM.
I have only imported the EP from one UTM, so why do all 3 UTMs show the extra EP entry.
I know have duplicated entries on all 3 UTMs, should I delete the original?

I asked this question during the last SUM beta because I ended up with duplicated configurations on my UTMs.

Hey Ian,

regarding your 3 ticks in the deployment of the AP: Do you have created an OU with 3 UTMs? And do you have auto-deployment enabled for this OU? This would explain your mentioned behaviour.

I do have an OU with 3 UTMs in it. I did finally find the fields you are referring to in the other thread and changed the settings.

If I delete the imported configurations on the SUM, do I have to delete manually them on each UTM, then import them again?

Hey Ian,

as stated in the "create new Organizational Unit (OU)" form/wizard:
  1. Definitions in use will automatically be transformed into local (unmanaged) definitions.
  2. Unused definitions will be completely removed.

So you don't have to delete it manually on the UTM. But if you delete your configuration (from one OU) you probably want to reimport the configuration (to another OU). 

Except you want to only move one configuration from one OU to another. Then you can (in the global/all OU) just clone this configuration to the new OU.
