[1.0][CLOSED] endpoint fails to update and shows duplicate in dashboard

I sent an email via the dashboard to machine with Windows8 release preview and UAC on 3rd highest setting.

When I installed the machine reboot half way through due to Windows problem. I reran the installer. At the end it attempted to update but failed. 

I have attached the log called sophosupdate.log

Now when I look in the dashboard(via firefox) I see the machine twice.

    Hi,
    the issue were a client is added multiple times to the Dashboard is already known. This also happens everytime you uninstall the client and install it again on the same machine.

    I tried crashing my Windows 8 testmachine during the installation.
    When the Endpoint is already installed partially, while the system crashes the SAV logo appears in the sytem tray, you can choose update now and the client installation finishes properly.
    Nevertheless, it would be generally advisable to try uninstalling any residue of a failed installation via "Control Panel - Programs and Features", if possible.
