Hello to everybody, but specially to the Developers of Astaro RED,
i would like to install the RED-Device on one of our remote locations called "Bauhof". At the moment we have an Netgear Router at this location with an IPSec Tunnel. The remote network is 192.168.123.0/24 and the internal netgear IP is .1
I start making a backup of the ASG at the Main-Office.
Then i delete the ipsec-configuration, the network (Definitions - Network) and all the other configuration for these location.
After that i add the red-device at the main ASG.
At the remote office i plugged the red-device behind the Speedport-Router (W503V) and turn the power on. The device flash itself (as described) and reconnect to the internet and connect to the main ASG (LED 1-4 are green and 5 for connection over LAN1 also green).
When i turn on of the PCs and change the IP-configuration from static to dynamic, i can see at the DHCP-Log that there is communication between the remote network and the Main-Office, but the client did not receive any answers.
It switch over to MS APIPA Adresse (169....).
I called the Astaro Support and talked to Mr. Unland, he think that it could be a problem with the old IPSec configuration, because it was the same C-Class Network. So we flushed the cache of the configuration but it doesn´t help.
I try to reboot the main ASG (In German: Wenn nix tut, reboot) but nothing changed.
No IP-Adress, no Ping, no ...
I restored the configuration of the Main ASG before i try to install the RED-Device.
After that i reconfigure the RED with a new subnet 192.168.133.0/24.
The result is the same as before.
The Client try to get a IP-Adress, but did not receive any packets. The DHCP-Server Log show all the DHCPDISCOVER and much more.
Attached you will find the DHCP-Log File and the RED-Log File.
One last comment.
Since October 2009 we have in another remote-office an ASG120 which is configured by E. Haag (Astaro Presales) also with RED. This one work without any problems.
The ID of the RED-Device is A300000965B56F6
Kind regards,
meerkat
