[8.200][BUG][FIXED] Reporting WebSecurity Application Control not working

Hello,

I set up the Application control with rule allow facebook, deny several others.

Logging in AC is enabled. I can't get any Report under Reporting-WebSecurity-AC. 

Just stays empty. Searching doesn't do anything, too.

    What browser are you using?  As quick check, see if it will work in a different browser (both Google Chrome and Firefox 5.01 are available in portable versions).

    same behavior here after upgrading from v8.103 to v8.2. I assuming that this maybe could be  a bug as I can see the following entries in the Configuration daemon log

    @Loriot:  Did you just finish the 8.200 u2d install?  Not saying that it is or isn't this, but it could be that the system is still busy rebuilding/converting the databases.  This can take a little while after install with all of the schema changes, depending on the system load.

    @Scott_Klassen: I made the update first on monday with the same result, I couldn't get any Reports under Reporting-WebSecurity-AC, also there were no entries in the Live log of the application control.Yestarday  I did made a fresh installation of ASG v8.102, upgraded to v8.103, and after that I made the update to v8.2, same behavior -> no logs or reports

    There could be a problem with the conversion process from 8.103 to 8.200 is what comes to my mind, since those of us in the beta haven't seen this.

    The only thing that I can think of to correct this, short of waiting for final 8.200 GA or the 8.201 u2d is to try another fresh install.  This time, install using a beta iso, like 8.173, then u2d back to 8.200 from there.  Then you can import a config backup from your current 8.200 install.  ftp://ftp.astaro.de/ASG/v8/beta/.  This might also help to confirm that the problem could be in the conversion process.

    I did it that way you suggested and installed v8.173 Beta, updated to v8.174 and made the upgrade to v8.200. Now I can see all the entries in the report under Reporting-WebSecurity-AC. I will test this again when final 8.200 GA wil be released maybe next week.

    Good to hear.  At least now we have a functional workaround and it gives the devs something more specific to look at.  [[:)]]
