Using the beta license did not give me a different result. This is really odd. No popup blocking. Java 6.22 installed.
I'm now reloading again. This time I will not restore my configuration. It must be something in the configuration that I restore. I cant think of what else would be causing it.
License wouldn't matter. This is a long shot, since there should be built-in checks against something like this happening, but in the Web Proxy, do you have either/both settings under Active Content Removal enabled?
I will have to check that Scott after another install. Just confirmed it's not the configuration restore or license by installing without configuration import and using beta license.
I do not have either selected under Active Content Removal. Is there a way to turn off the ToS feature thru the console? I am leaving the ToS disabled for now. I am concerned that it could happen in a live production environment since I can reproduce it at will.
Thanks Kai. I will continue trying to figure out what is causing the Terms of Use to not popup when active in my setup. At leaset with this command I wont have to reinstall ASG each time I try something. As soon as I disabled, I was able to log back into Webmin so it must be something blocking the popup window.
What are the requirements as far as Java? I have popup blockers turned off but the ToU does not come up in any browser I try. Can you think of anything else in the configuration that may cause the popup to not work?
I spun up a fresh Windows 7 install on a VM to test this on and I still get the same issue. I also installed 8.173 and that did not resolve the issue either. This is really interesting to me since I can reproduce but not solve. I am at a lose of what it could be now since a fresh installed OS with IE8 and no plugins still gives me the same results.
Does it work with Firefox on that fresh installed system? It almost looks like an IE-only problem, but our web-developers are doing their test mostly with Firefox and Chrome, so it would be great if we could nail it down to a single browser/os combination.
On the other hand, there are a lot of other log files too. Did you see something in the httpd.log ?
