[8.164][BUG][CLOSED] Log Management couldn't be activated

Hi there!

We just installed the 8.160 and up2dated to 8.164 on top of an asg220.
I tried to active the log management (first device for us), but it gets never past the following screen.[:S]

Disabling and reenabling doesn't help.

The 8.164 is sitting behind another firewall - is there a special port that has to be opened on the front firewall ? I already tried a tcpdump but there was no suspicious dropped traffic.

    Three things come to mind:

    1)  If you have enabled a lot of rules in application control, it may be coming into play.
    2)  It's also possible that Astaro is working on the backend of the system now, which has happened a couple of times in the past few weeks.
    3)  Back in 8.163, Astaro changed the addressing for the Log Management system.  I've no idea if they hard coded the change into 8.164 or not.  If they didn't, leave it on and your system will get the new addressing within 6 hours or so.

    Check in your logs (content filter and application control, also logging subsystem) for something with logmgmt in the address and you might get a hint as to what's going on.
