Can you give a little more detail on your configuration, please? maybe the output of the command "cc get executive_report" (you need to be logged in as user 'root' to do that)?

Which version of V8 did you install? 

Do the notifications work? Maybe there's a problem with the receiving mail server?

The system runs on VMware ESX 4 and was installed from asg-7.900-7.1.iso

is now at 7.921 

The backup I restored was from V7.505

Okay then, as a first step, let's try if they get generated at all. Can you please enable the "Archive PDF reports" checkbox in the Webadmin, apply the settings and then see if you get them after a maximum of 24 hours?

And please check the system.log. There should be an entry at around 00:20 looking similar to this one:

Does the html report  (the one that get's opened in the popup) work for you?

I have enabled archival of PDF reports, I'll let you know !

I DO have that entry in the system.log at 00:20

and yes the HTML report does work fine

PDF executive report WAS generated and archived but not sent by E-Mail or rather was not received !

I do get backups by E-Mail though

can you then please take a look at the notification logfile. Run the command
[FONT="Courier New"]

grep -C6 INFO-720 /var/log/notifier.log

Last nite I re-typed the Email address in Webadmin and this morning I have a executive report delivered to me !

Maybe a problem importing the email address from the backup ?

output from cc get executive_report is identical before and after inputting email address again ?
