[7.480][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Issue Installing 7.490 Update Package

I am having trouble getting 7.490 to install.
The update package downloaded successfully and shows up in the list of available updates.
However, when I click on either the "Install" or "Update to Latest Version Now" buttons, it doesn't update.  I even tried the scheduling feature and this too failed to install/apply the update package.

The CPU usage will occasionally go up to 50-80% for a few minutes after clicking install, but then it goes back down to normal and the update never appears to start/finish.

It also does not show the "Follow Update Progress" link which typically appears after you start the update process.

I have also downloaded the 480-490 update package and manually uploaded it to the firewall through WebAdmin and still am experiencing the same issues.

The firewall remains on v7.480.  I've tried the update in both Firefox v3.5.3 and IE8.

System is a Celeron M430 w/ 945GM chipset with 3x Intel Gigabit Nics, 1GB ram, 160GB SATA HDD.

Everything else appears to be working fine on the system, I just can't get the update to install.

ASG is for the software / your own hardware while SSI is for the official astaro asg apppliances.

What's happening is its a patch RPM for the manual (downloadable via webadmin) which is failing, as you have 7-36 but it won't allow that as a previous version (just every other possible 7-x version except that one [;)]). Not sure yet why not everyone is affected, but we're looking at this now, probably have to hold tight for a bit. We're on it.

Good News!  It worked!  I'm now successfully running 7.490!
Thanks for the help!  I suspect the file may have somehow gotten corrupt when it was initially downloaded or when ASG first tried to install it.

I only needed to do the first two steps!

ASG automatically started installing the 7.480-490 update once the download completed.

As soon as the download finished in the telnet window, I was about to issue the auisys.plx command, but did a "dir" and saw that the file was followed by a lot of characters with a .tmp extension.

I figured ASG was doing something with the file.
Evidently, it automatically started the update once the download completed.
It auto-restarted and everything is good to go.

that problem seems to be caused by our Up2Date server for the beta versions. It is independent from your System-Up2Date installation. Can you please let me know if the problem still persists?

you're right - my test system also showed that problem after fixing the man-sw package. The ohelp part should also be fixed right now and ASG should download and install the respective 'full' package (ohelp-7-193) without problems.

We'll issue another package update for manuals and onlinehelp within the next days to make sure the issue is solved for future updates as well.
