[7.490][BUG][ACK] SIP fails after each firmware

Updated to 7.490 and SIP died again.

It has stopped working after each beta update.

To get it working again had to remove all SIP settings and redo them.

(Tried many combination of restart/disable/re-enable to find this "work around")

Not a HUGE issue but all phones will die until you are able to find/apply this trick.

    Hi,
    I don't see any dropped packets in that extract. The extract shows the connection going through.
    Do you have fixed IP details or are they dynamically assigned?

    How often does the phone update it DNS/ARP tables?

    The issue sounds more like a table not being updated on one or other of the devices after the ASG is updated.

    Both the server and phone can be reset and they will still not connect until the entire sip configration is removed and added again.

    disabling/rebooting does not work.

    The VPN comes up fine and any non-sip other devices can commnicate without issue.

    Would be nice to know what the SIP setup actually does.

    did this happen only after a firmware update or even after a reboot? Do you use pppoe or dhcp on the default gateway interface?

    Update from 4.490 to 4.5..... same routine. 

    The only solution is to remove all items under SIP, readd them and then reset the phone. Nothing less than this ahs worked throughout the various firmware upgrades.

    The phone gets ip from the Astaro DHCP. External internet is static ip from ADSL.

    Asterisk server is in remote office connected through IPSec. All other connections to the office work fine, it is just the SIP that is affected.

    Now that I have found this "work around" it is not a big deal. Just have to redo the SIP config if the firmware is updated. Otherwise it is a big thing when the phones do not work.
