[7.460][QUESTION][ANSWERED] How to factory reset from command line?

Hi Friends !

Magic Saturday !

all of sudden my astaro asg (not hardware appliance -pc based ) stop working !
now how do i reset it to factory from command line
and how do i collect information/log about ,why it was fail (finding blackbox)

its booting but i am not able to communicate it with (no dhcp )

Before doing a factory reset from the front panel, try just restoring from a USB stick. Put an unencrypted backup on the USB stick, then power-cycle the ASG with the USB stick inserted. My experience is that you should reboot after the restore is complete in order to get he ASG to load the complete configuration.

Yes Sir,i did that two times with differant backups
but somehow it didn't help me

I reported elsewhere that I did a factory reset, then a restore and could do nothing until I re-imaged from ISO. Pease let us know if re-imaging corrects your problem.

Yes Sir,i tryed to do factory reset then tyed to restore config but some how i was not able to browse then i thought there is some problem i i reinstall even after that i was not able to browse ,then i PLAYED it with clicked here and there and it start working so really cant tell u which click worked !!!!!

To answer your question:

Try /etc/init.d/factoryreset reset on the commandline.
