[7.450][QUESTION][ANSWERED] Failed to get scanner instance?

Hi Friends !

I shutdown my ASG at night (which normally i do )
this morning same way i am planning to start ,but asg says.......NO... i restart desktop..asg machine also still...he says no ....gives error

"Failed to get scanner instance"

i restart desktop and asg machine couple of time
but on asg machine i am able to ping,traceroute

Yes I know it ,but if some one know it how to fix it they can help me thats why i send another ticket saying info

like billybob give me some hint (and it work for me other wise i was not able to browse ) like some other person may have some idea on fixing it but he may just miss to answer under impress of BUG

Now i have reset ASG to factory reset even after it not able to scan virus but on Web Security>>HTTP/s>>Anti Virus scanning is enable with two anti virus
previously it was off

utm_kid,
you are your own worst enemy.

You are creating the error everytime you restart the ASG. The message is caused by a missing external link. After the external connection is established the error doesn't re-occur.

Please do some more analysis of your log files before posting bugs. You will find all the info you need.

Please do some more analysis of your log files before posting bugs. You will find all the info you need.

My dearest friend Ian ,,

in a day i have to restart my box 2/3 time and @night i shutdown my asg machine (power problem) ,so i should ignore this error if i have same problem again safely take back format disk and restore back that what u suggest ?

I would suggest you get yourself a ups of some sort to help wiyh power problems.

What I am suggesting is you will see that error just about everytime you start your ASG and to ignore it. If you see the error occurring often when your data link is stable, then you have a potential problem. The other causes that I aware of are your ISP loosing their www access.

Hi ,

I have 600 va 3 ups (for 3 computers @home) and invter which can run normal load for 5/6 hours but i prefer to shutdown my pc when not using,
ok i understand the problem
