[7.260] Spam Scanner Memory allocation Issue [NOTOURBUG]

about 0030 (Australian time) mine started doing the memory increase. Last time I looked (2230) the ctasd was using over 27% of the memory.

There is nothing obvious in the up2date log to show why the sudden growth.

Hi,
my ASG memory usage has leveled out around 67%, it has been sitting there most of the day.

Response time is still good.

This issue was resolved yesterday afternoon (EST) ... apparently CommTouch had a problem with their pattern servers that was causing the problem.  THe only customers I had that were affected by this were those running devices with a small amount of RAM.. when the ctasd daemon grew beyond the free physical RAM, it started to swap, and that's when things slowed down.  The problem should be gone now.

You can free up the wasted RAM by restarting ctasd on the command line, or by disabling both POP3 and SMTP proxies, then re-enabling them again.
