[7.250] SMTP is mangling up german umlauts [CONFIRMED]

Hi,

when I send emails through V7.250 the umlauts gets changed.

I took the same client (Thunderbird) and the same address and the same text and sent it via V7.201 and V7.250.

See the differences as they arrive at the recipient.

the V7.250 showed:
This email was Anti Virus checked by Astaro Security Gateway. http://www.astaro.com

I tried this with 'Scan outgoing messages' on and off.

The fact that the AV footer is added to unscanned mail is a confirmed (and fixed) bug [:)]

Please turn off the AV footer, then send the mail again. Is it still mangled then?

turning off the footer cures the problem.

Didn't know, that the unwanted footer also mangles the text.

Happens with single-part messages that are in national encodings (not UTF8) when a footer is attached.
