[7.075] Incorrect hardware reporting between Dashboard and SSH access [NOTABUG]

Version 7.075 running on a Pentium 3 1Ghz system, 512MB RAM, 80GB IDE HDD.

The Dashboard is reporting 100% CPU, 78% RAM, 7% SWAP.

However running top via SSH, shows the cpu running around 50%, and RAM is nearly 100%, however some is cached.

no cpu usage in top is pegged(note the zero next to id)  Ram usage between the two looks comparable..remember the webadmin only updates every 5-whatever seconds you set it to while top can update every .5 seconds.  type free on your cli and post that along with top and the webamdin stats.

Yep, as William says, CPU utilization is pegged in top. You need to add up user, sys and nice time to get what is displayed on the portal.

Memory is also the same. Astaro portal reports 78% used (or ~100MB free), using top, take the total memory and subtract the cachee/buffers and you get about the same thing.

So everything looks good there.

Load average does look pretty high though at 4+. Would be better if you weren't using swap, the big memory hogs that I see from top are:

snort_inline 63 MB
httpproxy 36 MB
confd.plx 23 MB
gen_inline_repo 13 MB

There must be others which are not active which also have allocated a decent amount of memory.

My mistake guys, didn't notice %id was 0.  Looks like all the cpu usage is on %wa though, so now I wonder, if %wa means Wait time, and if so, what is causing the wait to be so high.

%wa is time spent waiting on disk IO.

The snapshot you first posted isn't showing any, so if you have another that does show high wait time...
