[6,856] Failed testing RPM installation

Me too. Have not been able to update patterns since 316. It says 4xx is available but it will not install.

Ok, just done some more prodding around:

******xx:/var/up2date/man-sw-install # 

Nothing there?

So, I re-uploaded the manual update : u2d-auav-7.58.tgz.gpg and now I have the latest patterns...

However, the up2date still reports : Failed testing RPM installation (command: 'rpm --test -U /var/up2date//man-sw-install/u2d-man-sw-7.6/rpms/u2d-man-sw-7-6.i686.rpm')

The RPM is only existent during the installation, the installer will delete the data after failure and extract it from the .tar.gpg each time from the start (to protect the up2date process from having someone toy with already extracted files).
When sneaking around those directories you might have noticed an rpminstall_err.log, this file should contain more data about why this RPM could not be installed.

I found this in the 2 error logs : /usr/local/bin/patterndist: line 42: -f: command not found

On looking at the file, there was an "&" on the rm command.

I removed the & and re-ran.

Still got errors in the up2date log :

So removed the file /var/up2date//man-sw-install/u2d-man-sw-7.6/rpms/u2d-man-sw-7-6.i686.rpm


Retried the install, but got the message about the 2 servers not being available - so will try the published fix and report back.

Updated to 6.908 and still cannot update the patterns. Keep getting the following message over and over in the up2date log. Any ideas? It looks like some of them did install. It went from 316 to 587 then stopped again says 635 is available.
