The Intel 6300ESB south bridge chip allows configuring RAID on Serial ATA drives. It supports RAID 0 and RAID 1.

I found in your HCL the "IBM 6300ESB" SATA onboard controller. Is it possible that this "IBM-Controller" is the Intel south bride integrated one?
I would suggest to create a new Tab in your HCL for supported Mainboard Chipsets.
How big is the opportunity to see "Intel 855GME" and "Intel 6300ESB" listed in your HCL? [:)]
