[4.711] "Install Failed"

Setup gets all the way to the last page (Installation Progress: Step 8 of 8 at the top) and it goes through the list of processes:
Verifying Package Checksums:  OK
Partitioning & Formating:          OK (all were OK)
Creating Base Environment:     OK
Copying INstall Files:                OK
Installing Packages :                 FAILED

I reboot and nothing loads up.

Using v5 beta 4.711
Have tried running in both standard install mode (just hitting enter when cd boots)
Have tried running install with "classic" command during boot.
Have tried burning .iso twice on different cd media
All above combinations have failed at the same point described above.
System:
Pentium 200mhz (Has been running fine with v4.017 install, and upgraded with every up2date release to 4.021.

Pentium 200mhz (Intel TX Chipset, Tyan S1572 motherboard)
64MB ram
20GB Western Digital HD
Linksys & Winbond NIC's (Have also tried 4.711 beta install with two Intel Pro1000 MT Desktop NIC's as well).

I know this system doesn't meet the recommended requirements, but I would assume it would still install correct?

I will try installing on PIII 450mhz machine in a bit and report back.

Great work the the beta so far, it has auto-recognized all of my hardware and goes smooth up until the very end.

    beside the fact that 200mhz is *really* not recommended for the current beta snapshots, I think this is the same issue like someone else reported with a Via C3 or C6 CPU. We're working on this - so it should be fixed in one of the next ISOs )(watch the announcements, I'm pretty sure you'll find a hint there)

    I have the same installation problem. Everything went fine, until it said that  package installation falied. The machine I ran the test install on has in the past run RedHat Linux 8 & 9, Win2K, and Solaris x86 v9. But it would not work with the ASL beta.

    Hardware is a Gigabyte GA-5AA motherboard (ALi Aladdin V AGPset chipset) with an AMD K6-2 500 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM and a 15 GB IDE drive.

    Had the Same problem, also on a K62 5 hundred something proc.

    Resorted to loading in a VM just to get a taste of 5 and everything was well, except after browsing to web interface, I just get a timeout and no page, though it does redirect me to a new page, (yes, using https://x.x.x.x). This is using VMware on an Athlon XP 1900+ (not that I expect this to be supported or even work, VM's are always hit and miss.)
