Setup gets all the way to the last page (Installation Progress: Step 8 of 8 at the top) and it goes through the list of processes:
Verifying Package Checksums: OK
Partitioning & Formating: OK (all were OK)
Creating Base Environment: OK
Copying INstall Files: OK
Installing Packages : FAILED
I reboot and nothing loads up.
Using v5 beta 4.711
Have tried running in both standard install mode (just hitting enter when cd boots)
Have tried running install with "classic" command during boot.
Have tried burning .iso twice on different cd media
All above combinations have failed at the same point described above.
System:
Pentium 200mhz (Has been running fine with v4.017 install, and upgraded with every up2date release to 4.021.
Pentium 200mhz (Intel TX Chipset, Tyan S1572 motherboard)
64MB ram
20GB Western Digital HD
Linksys & Winbond NIC's (Have also tried 4.711 beta install with two Intel Pro1000 MT Desktop NIC's as well).
I know this system doesn't meet the recommended requirements, but I would assume it would still install correct?
I will try installing on PIII 450mhz machine in a bit and report back.
Great work the the beta so far, it has auto-recognized all of my hardware and goes smooth up until the very end.
