i had all of these same symptoms when using IE. Using Netscape on my linux box, i have no problem at all connecting to the Astaro beta, regardless of the syn rate limit setting. I think IE doesn't like something with the ssl certificate. I tried generating a new one and got farther but still couldn't get logged in with Windows/IE. Always Netscape and Mozilla and even Konqueror work fine. -Aaron
same results here: mozilla (1.5) works fine, but is veeeeeeeery slooooow. ie gets the certificate and then stops doing anything. after disabling the synrate-limiter ie (6.0) works fine and it's really fast. the webadmin interface is even faster compared to version 4.702.
Synrate-limiter fix worked for my systems. Very strange problem indeed, and it was worse using IE 6.0. I think mozilla has a longer timeout period which is why it would work half-way.
