OK, the solution is found.
It will take a while to convert and import all avatars and unfortunatelly all "new" avatars will be lost. Sorry.

It looks like still not all old avatars are available. All of you who still miss it, need to upload it again. Sorry again...

Only complaint I have is trying to remember this long username now.. my username used to be just ReD-MaN, now it is using my old Display name. Can it be changed?

There is no separated displayname and username anymore.

New BBS software, just as I was getting used to the old one. Oh, well. I'll get the new wrinkles figured out eventually.

I am currently unable to upload or configure for an avatar picture. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

The time in minutes shown on the BBS is wrong. It is either 20 min fast, or 40 min slow. Atomic clock time sync would be prudent for the machine it is running on.

Hmmm... I was able to upload a Profile-Picture but how do i upload an Avatar?
There is no upload Dialog in the "Edit Avatar" menu [:S]

Puhh, here it looks nice to me on my notebook and the TFT at my workstation. I'll have a look at home on my old CRT...

I'll try to find the time to modifiy this skin again, but please be patient, it really could take a while.

I agree, too much grey and low contrast.

The other problem is that the layout requires way too much scrolling, even with 1280x1024 resolution. There is just way too much dead space in between posts. If the user information for each post could be moved to the left, it would make reading a lot easier.

Edit: And this is after turning off avatars, signatures, which only make it worse.

Are you thinking of a layout similiar to what GottaDeal has setup for their vBulletin forum?

Yep, that's the layout style I prefer. I have sigs and avatars turned off already, but you can see how with the other layout how much vertical space is saved with or without sigs on.

The time stamps seem to be off for me.  I'm in Hawaii and it seems the timestamps on posts are about 1-1/2 hour ahead of my time.  I tried to set my timezone to GMT -12 instead of GMT -10.  After doing this, I noticed my posts are about 1-1/2 hours AHEAD of my time, but others are 30 minutes behind.  DST is off for me since we don't observe it.  What's wrong?
