V17 syncronized application control, on a home licence?

Question

I've been using V17 synced app control successfully myself, i've tried to get it working for a friend but its not seeing the apps. the heartbeat works as i can see endpoints, everything is setup but its just not gathering applications. 
 The only difference is he uses Home licence, would that be the reason its not working? 
 We need more KB articles on the new v17 features. 
 But well done Sophos this is a killer feature and its changed everything.

 Are any applications being found? Applications or connections using TCP are reported by the endpoint. UDP connections are not be reported. Synchronized Application Control also requires a valid network protection and endpoint subscription for this feature to be enforced.
