Is XG Firewall protected against Bad Rabbit ransomware?

A very generic question? What version and what features do your customers have installed?

Are they configured to allow flash updates only from approved sites? Are users restricted to the sites they can download updates from?

It is not just the firewall that provides protection especially if you haven't configured the security levels in it.

Thank you for your reply, actually I was thinking that maybe XG would identify the web sources of the ransonware or it's signature and block it, our XG is used with FullGuard protection. We did not configure to allow or deny flash updates but users are not allowed to download anything (Web Protection).

Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. Maybe I'm just asking too much, but in such events Sophos could e-mail the partners explaining how our customers are protected so we can explain to them.

I agree. Most other vendors advertise when they have protection available for well known outbreaks but Sophos usually stays pretty quiet. They do have KB articles most of the time but I agree they need better communication with partners and clients
