Sophos XG iphone

So, this is working iPhone is communicating through Sophos XG through to Email Server and can send and receive. I am ding this by forwarding port 443 to Server.

However, (of course), it is passing everything else through such as OWA and Remote (and no doubt lots of other things. What I would like to try and do is, allow iPhone traffic through, but block OWA and Remote.

Can this be done? I did try Firewall WAF, but then everything stopped working

  • Paul,

this depends on how your email server is configured. For example if the mail server has different URL per service, for example (owa.mail.com, imap.mail.com, smtp.mail.com) you can use web filters otherwise you cannot. You can try to have a look at Application filter and check if you find something that can match.

  • I have been viewing other articles in the community trying to get just Microsoft Active Sync to work.

So far no luck! What I can see in Log Viewer for WAF, are entries saying 502 status code. Is there a configuration out there that I can follow to get just ActiveSync working with Sophos XG 16.05 MR7?

    Many thanks

Just to confirm, if I port forward 443 to internal email server all is well. But would like to protect better.
