Want to Block Android/IPhones in Sophos XG (16.05.1)

Hi Shahzad, 

In any network device, how does one recognize if the traffic is from a phone, systems, tablets? For a network device, MAC address and IP address are taken into consideration while controlling the traffic through  any networking product.

If you have found such feature on other firewall/gateway products please send me the reference sheet to that feature.

UTM9 is able to catch the browser used (x-header) and apply proper device authentication. https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/120345

So using the x-headers is possible to differentiate devices.

Anyways i am fully agree with Luk fortigate have a feature to block android devices.

I am sure in Sophos they are considering to add this feature because Cloud is pressing and mobile and the APPs need to be managed properly, blocked, etc. I am sure Aditya had an oversigth!

Aditya Patel from your side, make sure to report back that we need feature to properly filter, block, manage mobile. Fortigate is a step ahead on that (at least 3 years). I have some Forti installation and they released a firmware which included this feature, so....

My mistake, It is true that it is feasible to get device info from X-ATT-DeviceId from the Get request. We can identify the vendor on Sophos AP . But as for XG its is a Feature Request. I shall add the document as a reference.
