WebAdministration doesnt show, doesnt load

I installed SW-SFOS 15.01.0-376 to Sophos UTM 110/120.

Device reboot after install.

I configuration on my computer static ip adddress. IP: 172.16.16.254, netmask: 24 (255.255.255.0) and gateway: 172.16.16.16

I connected ethernet cabel to my laptop and to sophos utm to port1 (eth0).

I wrote to google chrome: https://172.16.16.16:4444 and I clicked on enter on keyboard.

I waited long time but WebAdministration of Sophos doesn´t show.

Please, do you help me, how do I delete problem and how do I can see WebAdministration?

    I disconnect the cable from port1 on Sophos UTM and I connected the cable to port4 on Sophos UTM.
    I opened browse and I wrote ip address: https://172.16.16.16:4444 and WebAdministration showed me.
    I logged in to WebAdministration by default name and default password.
    After logged I clicked on "Basic Setup."
    I want to configure the WAN port. In "IP Assignment" clicked on static.
    I wrote ip address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS.
    After I clicked on "save changes" and Sophos does not respond.

    Please, how do I delete this problem?

  • try refreshing the basic setup page, if it doesn't work, you could try to reboot the machine and try to access the webadmin basic setup page again.

    in addition to what wrote, use the console commands to understand if the IP is still configured otherwise you can perform a factory reset using option 5 > 1.

    I wanna to activation Sophos device. I copy serial number from email to administration. I clicked on „activate device.“ I waited any seconds. After sophos wrote me: „No internet connection. Chceck your internet connection as described in...“

    I checked configuration „basic setup“. It was ok.
    So I reboot sophos. I logged in to Sophos again.
    I checked configuration „basic setup.“
    Sophos does not configuration. So I configuration again a clicked on „save changes.“
    After I rebooted Sophos device.
    I checked configuration. Sophos doesnt configuration.
    Sophos do it after every reboot.

    How do I delete this error?

    for the activation, make sure XG is able to surf on internet (using ping www.google.com from console) and also make sure the computer you use is able to surf on internet too, otherwise activation will fail.

  • If I use ping www.google.com from cosnosole I have answer from Google Server.
    XG is able to surf on internet.

    If I clicked on activation device, Sophos showed red problem: „Internet connectivity OK, but unable to contact licensing system.This may be due to a network issue. Please check your network set up and connections and try again.“
