Extremely long install time...

i've had the same experience with our XG85 and UTM110 as well as older x86 machines. But if you watch the install process it creates the partitions (log, system etc.) and formats them one by one.  

Only solution i've encountered was patience, or upgrading to a faster harddrive.

(But dono what the staff is saying about this :) )

For home use a 128gb drive is plenty, if it is a 1000gb drive then it will take for ever, it is a security feature to ensure no nasties are left on your disk.

Would love to turn this "feature off." I actually need to reload XG because I reused my own email when I meant to use a Family member's and it gave it a 30 day trial. No way to reassign it... which is just dumb.

Just turn it off and start again.

Care to elaborate? I have done this before thinking that something got stuck. Just goes back to formatting every single sector of a hard drive after creating the partitions.

Yes, use a smaller disk. I know most of us have a larger disk lying around doing nothing, to small for a PC and too big for UTM/XG.
