Extremely long install time...

Hey everyone! I've installed the XG Firewall on a few x86 powered machines so far (for friends and family) and I have noticed that these installs take an extremely long amount of time. For example, start install, go to bed and hope that it will be done in the morning. The only time I have seen it go quickly was on one of the machines had a 128GB SSD installed. It appears that during the setup, it formats the entire drive it is being installed on.

Anyone else have this problem and is there a solution to it?

    Hi Chris,

     

    i've had the same experience with our XG85 and UTM110 as well as older x86 machines. But if you watch the install process it creates the partitions (log, system etc.) and formats them one by one.  

    Only solution i've encountered was patience, or upgrading to a faster harddrive.

    (But dono what the staff is saying about this :) )
