FTP scan slows down the speed

Dear All,

When we check the FTP scan on firewall rule,

it slows down the speed of FTP transmission from Mbit to Kbit.

When cancel the FTP scan, it raises to Mbit of speed again.

Anyone know how to fix the issue? Thanks~

  • Hi Shunzelee,

As suggested by Luk, use Real Time Scan instead of Batch. Real Time is suggested to avoid delays.

Now, what is the difference between the two modes?

    • Real Mode: This scanning mode scans files in Real Time while they pass through the UTM.
    • Batch Mode: This scanning mode caches the files as they come in and then examines them for viruses, once they are fully cached. Hence, in the case of bulky files, there is a delay in the scanning because XG waits until the whole file is downloaded and then starts scanning.

    Thank You
