Some Clients not Connecting

All,

I have an XG firewall with AP55 units, 2 of them. from time to time, certain clients will not connect to the wireless networks. they can see the networks and are prompted for keys, but wont connect.

in the XG interface, I can see the clients. the signal strength is good, usually over 80%, but the speed shows 1.0Mbit/S on the 2.4GHz band.

I have several other clients using the same operating system (Windows 7) that are connecting just fine.

any tips would be appreciated

two things I see that seem strange:

1. the ip address. this machine isn't connected to the wireless network yet, so I wouldn't expect that it would have an assigned ip address. Also, ipconfig on the client does not show an ip address assigned to the wireless adapter

2. the TX Rate is 1 Mbit/S: is that maybe just the default speed that it reports prior to the client fully completing the connection to the network? seems odd to me.

ZaneDonaldson,

are the same devices connecting to through XG using cable network?

What type of Authentication are you using on SSID?
