Unable to boot after download and successful install for free home edition xg firewall

Software Installers

Firewall OS Software ISO for Intel Hardware

I may have download the wrong one. What I posted above is what I downloaded and installed. The message I am getting is: firmware loader (press <enter> to display list of images.  starting 16_01_2222. This kernel requires an x86-64 cpu, but only detected an i686 cpu. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your cpu. I have went thru the bios and changed a few things to see if they would work but nothing same error and changed it back to what the settings were at previously with no luck.

Did I use the correct download/installer? Trying to set it up on an intel based computer

Thanks

Chris

  • I had to change the computer I was installing to because I was unable to find the needed option in bios to one that has it. Now I am receiving and error of no bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key after installation. Which I have tried same error. Also I am unsure what you are referring to as the "system configuration allocation to xg" ? Software Installers-->
Firewall OS Software ISO for Intel Hardware is the download installer that I used to install with is that the correct one? The current computer is a hp 15 notebook with needed virtualization option which was enabled in bios and legacy boot options which had to be enabled also to install from a boot usb thumb drive and still enabled. I am unsure what to do at this time Second computer I am trying with no luck still. Will I be able to download and install utm home properly if this does not work?

    Thanks for your help

  • I had issues with the same "boot disk issue",

Turns out the boot disk wont even boot if you do not have the minimum required RAM and Disk allocated.

  • The Computer has 4gb ram and over 400 gb of hard disk space (not sure what Disk allocated? means) on it at the time of install.

Still unsure what to do at this time?

    Thanks
