Exclude Gateway from load balance

i have 3 GW ( GW1, GW2, GW3 )  . ( GW1 and GW2 )   already connected to the internet and the third GW ( GW3 ) is connected to NON-internet ( mainly my branch GW ) . and i want to load balance the 2 GW ( GW1, GW2 ) which are connected to the internet only .

so how can i exclude that 3rd GW ( GW3 ) from the load balance policy.

  • Hi,

In UTM appliance, we configure weight 0 to exclude the WAN interface participation in Uplink management. Meanwhile, in XG you have to configure WAN as a backup gateway to exclude it from participating in Load Balance. Interestingly, you can still configure a Firewall Rule and select the backup link as primary gateway to route service specific internet traffic.

    Thanks

  • if i use it as  a backup link , that means it will work once my primary link goes down . right ?

i don't want that , i want it to be fully exclude it because i want it fully free all the time just for VPN and VOIP for example

even if all other links goes down
