Exclude Gateway from load balance

I guess basically because it will not be able to ping to internet , then Sophos XG will auto exclude it . right ?

What if i have 3 GWs and i want only to have load balance between only two of them . because i would like to use the third one for VPN over the internet or any other reason

how can i chose only any number of GWs i need .

this is a good question. Manage separate Wan Interfaces is possibile with UTM9. Hope they will integrate it into next XG release. At the moment, you cannot achieve what you asking.

In UTM appliance, we configure weight 0 to exclude the WAN interface participation in Uplink management. Meanwhile, in XG you have to configure WAN as a backup gateway to exclude it from participating in Load Balance. Interestingly, you can still configure a Firewall Rule and select the backup link as primary gateway to route service specific internet traffic.

if i use it as  a backup link , that means it will work once my primary link goes down . right ?

i don't want that , i want it to be fully exclude it because i want it fully free all the time just for VPN and VOIP for example

even if all other links goes down

Hi , 

            You  could select manual in the option Activate this Gateway. So that gateway wont be used unless you declare it as up manually. Hope it helps.
