as i mention my dsl modem WAN is 20239 Kbp so according to what you say when i want to config Sophos Traffic Shaping (QoS) Settings the Total Available WAN Bandwidth it would be 2529.875  kilobytes  can you confirm if i am right or wrong ?

using KB on traffic shaping is not proper the best way. KB/MB/GB are used inside the report in order to undestand how many Bytes a user/computer downloaded but for Interface traffic , it must be bits.

UTM9 is correctly using the proper measures.

exactly lferrara . and i feel it is funny to put 16 as number in KBps for shaping when i want to shape 128 kbps which is the normal way to do . 

Agreed! I have to constantly use a calculator to do the conversation for KB to Kbps/Mbps.

I know it's old - but why is Sophos the ONLY vendor to use KBps for bandwidth when the universally accepted method is Kbps (or Mbps).

Data storage is Bytes, throughput is bits.

Stop making us multiply by 8 every time we need to configure something - it needlessly slows work down.

A little off topic... when mentioning 'total bandwidth' do they mean add download and upload bandwidth together so if you have a 50/10 Mbps pipe does that mean you have a total of 60 Mbps?
