good question. For the distance, contact your Sophos Sales expertise. 5 miles is a big distance and consider obstacles that will reduce the distance coverage.

Other vendors have a Wifi Solution with 802.11n and the provide that kind of wifi bridge with a type of antenna that uses MIMO 2x2.

The AP100X have MIMO 3x3:3 capabilities. With the correct antenna we could make a bridge between two o more sites installing the antenna on a high building and them make a mesh and provide service remotely.

i think that this is a great solution.
