Cannot access 172.16.16.16 software install on Dell R210

Ubuntu LiveCD has no issues recognizing the NICs.  Is it possible to bypass the web portal license agreement on the console to do some troubleshooting?

  • Anybody out there?  I understand it's free but it's really frustrating to have no way to troubleshoot something that's probably really simple to fix.

  • Jeremy,

if you install the lastest version (v15 MR1-1) you are able to accept EULA from Console and then you have access to Commands.
What type of NIC are installed on Dell R210?

  • Thanks.  Accepting the eula via the console helps tremendously.  It looks like my NICs are not fully recognized.  They show up as unknown and run at 100mb half duplex.  I tried setting them to 1000 full but it said that speed was not supported.  The onboard NICs are Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5716 GbE.  I also tried an Intel 82576 GbE card but that is not even recognized by the OS.  Any suggestions?  The Broadcom NICs do function in Ubuntu at 1000 Mb/s so the issue does not appear to be hardware.

  • XG uses custom kermel so custom drivers.

Buy a Intel dual nic card which are supported for sure.

Hope they will integrate more broadcom cards. I had the same problem on beta where my nics were not recognized.
