Error - Failed to add compatibility after maximum attempts

Hello there,

my Sophos Firewall Manager keeps showing the following error: "Failed to add compatibility after maximum attempts. You can try adding it from Compatibility Management section." What does this means and what action should I take in order to fix it.

    Whenever user add new device in Sophos Firewall Manager (SFM), SFM try to add compatibility for SFOS device.If first attempt get fail than it will try another attempt to download the compatibility.After maximum 5 attempt ,if compatibility is not added in SFM it will give the error message.

    Probable reason for failed to add compatibility in SFM is Internet not reachable in SFM

    To fix the error, go to Compatibility Management page and download the compatibility for SFOS device.

  • Hi Ravi,

    The Sophos Firewall Manager has all ports open to the internet. Besides, It's doing great job managing the devices that I added. However, the problem persist, and I've already downloaded all the firmwares listed in Compatibility Management as you can see in the next print screen.

    What else should I do?

    Thank you for update.After downloading compatibility error should not be shown in SFM.We will check issue in our lab and update you further.

    We have checked issue and found it as bug.SFM is showing warning message multiple time.

    For reference Bug ID is NCCC-2891.Issue will be covered in future releases of SFM
