Does Sophos XG allow OpenVPN Clients to Connect?

Hello,

Currently I'm in the process of migrating from PFSense to Sophos XG and presently my devices use OpenVPN or the Viscosity VPN client (for Mac) to connect to the PFSense box which is running OpenVPN server.

Does Sophos XG support OpenVPN clients?  I read that the UTM9 version apparently does not use the standard OpenVPN configurations and standard OpenVPN clients can't connect to it....is that the same for XG?

Thanks

  • When i log into the user portal i Download clients, but no SSL VPN. Under download clients i dont see any older os's or anything else referring to OpenVPN.

    What am i doing wrong?

  • Rizzah,

make sure to set the proper settings and permissions to users in order to get the SSL VPN section. On the SSL VPN profile created inside the VPN area, you add "allowed networks" and users that are allowed to connect to vpn.

Make sure that the user belongs to that groups or section.

    Thanks
