Sophos Firewall - qemu-guest-agent Not Installed

Good afternoon,

I'm encountering the same issue as described in this thread:   Lack of critical component in KVM images

I have a Proxmox install of Sophos XG Firewall.  This install was done using the installation ISO.  The hypervisor hangs when restarting since it cannot communicate with the firewall guest machine.

Have I done something wrong?  How do I install qemu-guest-agent on this vm?  Should I install another way?

  • Have the same issue here.

Tried qmeu images, Intel ISO install. Accesso to advance shell. Can't understand how a basic virtualization feature, like that, is not available.

    Disappointed

  • I tried installing it, using the ISO, on a strictly KVM hypervisor (Manjaro + KVM)... simply to test if it was a Proxmox thing.  On this install, the hypervisor was able to control the VM without issue.  I was able to shutdown from the hypervisor just fine.  Admittedly, was the extent of my testing.  Based on this, I'm seeing different behavior between the Proxmox install and a simple KVM install, both using SW-19.5.1_MR-1-278.iso.
