[Still] Can't register new XG firewall on Sophos central

Hello all,

We have same problem to this one:
Can't register new XG firewall on Sophos central
So the only possible solution, is to ask our Costumer for there Credentials, so we can Register the XGSs....

We tried about 20 XGSs....is this a Bug?

Many Thx

  • Can you describe your process you try to follow?

  • Hi All,

    automatic Hotfix is enabled.

    We proceed as follows:
We log on to our partner portal and go to the Sophos central. There we select our customer and go to his Central in the Firewall area (Firewall Management).

There we have the item "Firewalls" and then go to "Add Firewall" at the top right.

In the setup we go to "Add a new Firewall", enter the serial number, click on next, select the mail address and click on next and then the error appears.

This error is with every firewall and every customer with us.

If we select "Join a firewall that is configured and deployed" instead of "add a new firewall" , we get the error message that there are too many requests.

So we can only register directly via the firewall with the customer's data :(

  • First off all, if the firewall is already running in any terms, you need to use Join a Firewall that is configured and deployed.

From there you need to go the next steps.

If you get to many redirects, that is odd. I just tried that, working fine for me in Chrome.
