XG106 v18.5 / v19.0 not sending out status mails (built-in mail server) AND dead Email General Settings GUI Tab

Hi all,

I have some weird behavior from my XG106.

Updating to 18.5.3MR3 somehow killed the internal mail agent. It just didn’t send out status and backup mails anymore. (Log says „queued“, then „bounced“)
Didn’t really bother me, cause Sophos Central still delivered.

BUT

after upgrading to 19.0.1MR1 half of the GUI „EMail -> General Settings“ simply got unresponsive!
First field (where one should be able to select between MTA and Relay) is only containing two label-variables (modelbl, modeswitchlbl) an an „apply“ button without function.
Blocked Senders, Smarthost, Advanced Settings don’t show checkboxes or apply-buttons at all.

Plus, the Anti-Spam-Service shows as „STOPPED“
I’m not subscribed to the mail-protection-license, but I suspect it should be running nonetheless (like e.g. antivirus and IPS does)
My guess that this is also causing status mails not being sent. They’re just not getting processed and then rejected.

I‘be already tried rebooting as well as clearing sasi-files / restarting anti-spam via CLI. Same results.

So, before I take the hard way and try a hard reset / full reconfiguration - does anyone have a clue what I’m missing here? :)
