Intel CPU needed for ssl decryption on XG Home Edition version

Hello All,

Does anyone know if I need to use an Intel AES-NI CPU to run ssl decryption?

I am new to the home XG firewall.

Thank you for your time and information.

  • The current  home edition does not support aes-ni. You do not need aes-ni to perform ssl encryption. All sophos hardware supports ssl encryption using dual core celeron in older models as an example.

going on the sophos hardware that does support aes-ni you would need a low end Xeon.
