Duplicate WAN port with the same Public IP

Is it possible to have assign another port as the same as my WAN port?  Same public IP Address.

I'm having challenges to connect Cisco IPSec Site to site (Remote site with CGNAT) to my Sophos with Public, Dynamic IP Address.  The idea is if it is possible, I'll get 2 cheap TP-Link routers, plug 1 at remote site, and plug the 2nd unit on the duplicate WAN on the Sophos f/w.

  • Why not use a Sophos RED at the remote site behind the Cisco? I understand you want to establish a site-to-site VPN-tunnel. How many users are using this?

  • It's a home project, and trying to connect two sites together as the remote site doesn't have a public IP address. I haven't found a cost effective Red device. My main purpose is only to use syncthing to sync files over to the remote site's media server.

  • Can you pull from the remote site instead of push from the site with the Public IP? If you have DDNS on your public IP side, the other end will be able to find your IP and could then connect via VPN. (If the far side has a VPN tunnel capability.) Or maybe through other SECURE means.

  • My thoughts exactly!  :D. But I don't have enough know how to ensure this will work.

I have a new plan though.  Since it's only 1 unit on the remote site that I need to access and sync data with, I'll install OpenVPN client for it to connect to my Sophos Remote SSL VPN.  This should do right?

I am wondering though, with the remote site connected to my Sophos f/w, will I be able to "see" the media server, therefore, syncing, such as Syncthing will work?
