Sophos XG auto import ipsec and sslvpn provisioning.pro file

XG550 (SFOS 18.5.3 MR-3-Build408)
sophos connect client “2.1.20.0309

Hello Forum,

hope someone can help.

we are currently rolling out the sophos connect client over provisioning.pro file and allow our users SSLVPN and IPsec ( 500 User)
After we update to the new Firmware SFOS 18.5.3 MR-3-Build408 we don’t have the ipsec connection into the sophos connect client.
With the previously used version "SFOS 18.5.2 MR-2-Build380" we have successfully rollout over 100 users.

An support case is open but with no response.

  • I remember when we were testing with ipsec .pro file, we found out ipsec connection got imported even if we did not have it enabled on XG, only SSL. to fix this we needed to reset the ipsec settings, then it was gone. I suppose, at your issue it's just the other way around. and eventually reseting it, then enter the same PSK or certificate and other settings may help. just a lucky shot without knowing if it would help.

Have you checked the XG Authentication log at the time when the users CC client should download the ipsec config? is there any authentication error for the user?

  • I have read the case.
but can this have an effect on the existing users when we do this new?
