hi all,
have the xgs firewall and i can ssh into console via admin but whats the command to see what sd wan policy its using or whether its on and if need be, change it to sdwan first and then vpn

You can login into the putty session & press 4 for the device console and execute the following cmd:
console> system route_precedence set sdwan_policyroute vpn static
And the to verify, you can execute as @Vishal_R mentioned
console> system route_precedence show
