Duplicate Wed Exceptions

I wouldn't worry about the duplication, the disabled one is not affecting your web policies. The Apple exception does need more entries though. Some of the exceptions do not appear to make sense as to why there are multiple copies with most being disabled?

At one point in time the "Apple Update" was editable by admins.  It contained two entries.

Then at some point (years ago?) we decided that we wanted "Apple Update" (and all other out of the box exceptions) to be Sophos-managed and not allow admins to edit them.  That allows Sophos to add/remove without impacting any customers.  During the upgrade process it looked to see if the admin had modified the object.  If they had not, then it was just made read only.  But if the admin had modified it they made a copy.  Which is what you see there.

Seems odd though that I cannot delete the copy. I don't mind the non-deleteable ones

What error do you get when you try to delete the exception?

On your system "Apple Update" is the Sophos managed undeletable object.  "Apple Update Original" is the copy.  Are you saying that you cannot delete "Apple Update Original"?

That is correct, i have a duplicate of every Sophos managed one with an "original" appended at the end.

If the ones labelled "original" cannot be deleted that is an error and you can raise a support ticket.

Please post a copy of your exception, the setup you are describing seems a little odd. Yes, I am aware that you posted a copy in the initial post but your description about the deletion seemscto indicate a different configuration.
