Increase SSL VPN speed

Hi to all,

How can I increase the SSL VPN speed?

I have 300 Mbps simetrical in client side and 1 Gbps simetrical in the Sohpos XG side. Both connections are FTTH.

The max speed I have with an iPerf test is 75-100 Mbps.

I test with TCP and UDP settings with same results.

SFOS: SFVH (SFOS 18.5.1 MR-1-Build326) - Home version installed in a XG135 v3 appliance.

Is there any improvement in the newer firmware versions?

Hello! Since you're a home user, I recommend you to upgrade to v19 EAP 2 on the appliance and use AES-GCM as the encryption algorithm, this should increase the performance significantly. Or if you…

Or if you want stability you can wait for v19 GA which should arrive this month.

Is now AES-NI used in the software version of v19?

Sophos XG Home Licence.
Machine: Barracuda F12 appliance (Intel Celeron N3350 CPU, 6GB Ram, 80GB sata SSD)

How did you get home version installed on a 135. I attempted this but the image won't load because it detects sophos hardware.

I have to wipe all the partitions on the disk.

Booting with GParted Live USB: GParted Live on USB you can do it.

Thanks I'll try that. I used an ubuntu live USB to try that but it didn't work either.
