Access via IPSec Tunnel

I have an IPSec Tunnel setup between an Untangle Firewall and a Sophos XG Firewall. There is a server on each side which can ping each other. The server on the Untangle side is able to browse through the shared folders on the server on the Sophos side. The server on the Sophos side can browse to the server on the Untangle side but CANNOT browse the shared folders on the server on the Sophos side. I can see the folders but it just hangs if I try to browse them. What could the issue be?

I have used the same Untangle connection to setup an IPSec Tunnel to a Fortigate and everything worked fine, so I am guessing there must be an issue on the Sophos. I have setup my firewall policies to allow inbound and outbound traffic. Please advise

Thank you

  • Also if I try to RDP to the server, I am able to enter my login credentials and it establishes the connection but then I get the error "This computer can't connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator"
