How Do I Delete Sophos DDNS?

Hi,

With the demise of the Sophos DDNS service, I've added another DDNS service. I'm trying to delete the Sophos DDNS entry but it fails with the error "DDNS service is temporarily unavailable."  How do I delete this Sophos entry?

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

    I was able to replicate the same error, I'd recommend you to update your case and submit the following logs:

    applog.log, csc.log (in debug mode)

    And a screenshot of your DDNS.

    Also, it might work if you try to restart the WingC service, just give it a try and mention in the ticket that it doesn't resolve your issue if it doesn't

    # service wingc:restart -ds nosync

  • Hi, thanks for that info.  I tried restarting the WingC service, but that didn't fix the problem.  I downloaded the applog.log and csc.log but I don't know how to get it/them into debug mode.  Could you tell me how to do that please?

    To put CSC in debug mode you should access the Advanced Shell (5>3) and run:

    # csc custom debug

    You won't see any message after running it

    to turn it off run the same command 

    # csc custom debug

  • Hi, I submitted the two logs and the screenshot.  Thanks for the instructions, I hope Support can fix this, otherwise my XG will be trying to update the DDNS every five minutes or so and failing.
