CSR can not have a passphrase / challenge phrase. Enter a new CSR.

I am trying to update the certificate on my Sophos XG (SFOS 18.5.2 MR-2-Build380). I've created the CSR and when I try to submit it to the CA I'm getting the below error:

CSR can not have a passphrase / challenge phrase. Enter a new CSR.

I don't have an option to set a passphrase during creation, yet the CA seems to think one is in the CSR.

Please advise.

Which version do you use?

Version of Sophos XG? As stated in the original post, SFOS 18.5.2 MR-2-Build380.

Hi Nathan

Please check SYSTEM—>Certificates > Certificate authorities and check “Default CA” was filled at first place during initial configuration?

I'm not sure that I get what you're saying here. I have a Default cert listed, but I'm trying to generate a CSR for a 3rd party signed certificate. When I paste the generated CSR into the 3rd party site to have them create the certificate, I get the error about the CSR having a passphrase, which I obviously didn't enter, as there isn't even an option to do so.

If you open the CSR via notepad, what do you see? Only the cert or other certs as well?
