XG106 18.0.4 MR-4 unable to Backup

Question

XG106 is unable to create a backup. 
 does not work via central, nor local "backup now". it's not even possible to edit the backup settings at all. 
 error messages are none sense (see printscreens) 
 
 troubleshooting steps taken 
 - restart 
 - disable / enable central 
 
 any ideas?

Seems like the SSMK Process failed on this appliance. Sophos introduced the SSMK in a older version and it seems like this did not work for your appliance.

 Therefore you should raise a support request to get this sorted out. If you have a backup, it would be quicker to restore the backup after reimage the appliance.
